Years ago, I made a decision that shaped my son's life—and mine. I spent decades wondering if he was happy, if he understood why I made the decision.
Then, one day, my phone rang. It was him.
When we reconnected, he looked at me and said three things I'll never forget:
"I want to get to know you. Thank you for giving me life. You have three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren."
